Together with the Visiting Nurse Association, Pacific Springs Village is providing an opportunity to pilot the most innovative medical technology available for wellness to their residents.
Health monitoring is simple and easy with the VNA Community Care monitor. The Pacific Springs Village resident simply slides their secure, personalized card through the system’s card reader (similar to how an ATM card is used). The system greets the resident and guides them with easy to follow voice and text prompts through the process of collecting their weight, blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation. It then securely and confidentially transmits the information to VNA for review by a clinician. If a change in their levels occurs, the nurse calls the resident, makes sure they are doing well, and helps decide what the best course of action is.
The monitoring system will help the resident actively keep track of their health, prevent crisis situations and help them remain independent.
Using the VNA Community Care telehealth monitor on a regular basis can provide a level of knowledge that helps residents lead life to its fullest. The simple three-minute checkup several times a week could add years to their life.
