The VNA conducts extensive background check on all selected applicants. This includes reference checks, criminal and Medicare/Medicaid fraud checks, validation of professional licenses, and examination of adult/child registries for past abuse. It is vitally important for home care providers to successfully pass these background checks, since they will be providing care for you or your loved ones in your home.
All HomeAide staff, including homemaker companions and certified nursing assistants, are bonded and insured. This includes many different types of insurance, including professional liability, general liability, worker's compensation, and fidelity bond coverage. In addition, they receive regular company-provided training.
All HomeAide caregivers attend an extensive orientation, which focuses on safety, ethics, compliance issues, confidentiality and the vast array of program and services provided by the VNA. Additional training is provided to caregivers on specific processes and requirements to complete their job.
HomeAide caregivers may provide you companion and personal care services wherever the client resides whether his/her home, nursing homes or assisted living facilities—and we provide the care you need for a few hours a week or up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
HomeAide is a service offered by VNA—the leader in home care services in Omaha, Council Bluffs and surrounding communities. The VNA is a licensed, Medicare-certified home health care company that offers clines a “one stop shop” for all your medical and non-medical health care needs. Our HomeAide staff are certified, trained and matched with clients based on services needed and client-caregiver compatibility.
HomeAide takes care of this for you. We employee our direct care staff, maintain the workers’ compensation coverage and liability insurance so these are not passed on to our clients. In addition, we do not require an upfront deposit, and only bill for the services provided.

If someone is unable to afford services, we work with you to identify other community resources that are available to help you remain independent in the comfort of your own home.
Rates for service will vary based on your on personal needs. Please contact HomeAide staff at (402) 930-4240 to set up a time for your free in-home assessment, or to answer any questions you may have about the HomeAide senior care services we offer.
